3) "Goblin" - This one started out as a companion to the song "Goblin's Brew" for the Oblique Observations album I recorded in 2021 but was not completed at the time. After the release of Oblique, I wasn't sure where it was going to end up, but it seemed to fit best as a MOON X song. I was fooling around with one of my three keyboard synths and found a sequence that I liked. Sounded like "space funk", so I tracked funky guitar and bass to it. All lead guitar tracks are tracked in real time with effects front-loaded on the song. It's the same system I use for ALL of the songs on the album. Even the backward sounding guitar tracks. It's my approach to tracking. Originally, I had the sequenced synth going all the way through the song, but Dave came up with the idea of having it drop out and then reappear during the middle break and then again at the end.
